Announcing New Membership Levels & Application Process

New ATCTA membership levels are now streamlined with its mission of unifying the Service Management certification training market.

(Coral Springs, FL) – The ATCTA is proud to announce that it has streamlined its application process and opened active membership to any and all Service Management training providers that are accredited by a recognized certification body. The improved membership levels and application process will expedite the ATCTA’s goal of unifying the Service Management training industry and promoting it as a profession.

Through the collaborative efforts of its membership, the ATCTA strives to maintain and raise the standards of training quality. Adherence to the Code of Conduct is no longer a requirement for Active Members. Every member has the option to adhere to it. Those who do comply, verified through a separate application process, will be granted the ATCTA Trustmark™.

The ATCTA plans to host webinars for prospective members who wish to learn more about this new application process and what the ATCTA has to offer their organizations, their customers and the Service Management certification training market. More information about these webinars can be found on the ATCTA website at www.atcta.org.

“Uniting the Service Management industry and promoting it as a profession – that’s our main priority” says Jayne Groll, President of the ATCTA. ”An immediate result of this unification is that the ATCTA create an ITSM training community that collaborates and demonstrates a common commitment to quality standards. This can only serve to benefit all of our learners and customers. Together, we can help shape the future of Service Management.”

Since its launch in March of 2010, the value of ATCTA membership has already been recognized by several prominent international Service Management training providers including Ahead Technology, EMC Corporation, Global Knowledge, InterProm USA, ITSM Academy, and SED-IT. PRESS RELEASE - March 25, 2010

New Trade Association Aims to Improve IT Service Management Training Unity, Quality and Advocacy

With ITSM growing in importance training that fails to provide tangible business benefit is not acceptable. New community of interest offers practical solution.

(New Orleans, LA) – The IT Service Management (ITSM) industry today welcomes the announcement of a new trade organization that promotes quality standards for ITSM training. The Accredited Training Council Trade Association (ATCTA) aims to serve as the voice of its membership, including avocation for transparency and accountability on issues that directly impact ITSM professionals.

A collection of companies specializing in effective IT training recognized the need for a trade association amid the growing importance of ITSM on business competitiveness and the lack of an authoritative voice on ITSM certification and skills training. These founding partners include: Global Knowledge, InterProm USA, ITSM Academy, and SED-IT.

According to the founding directors of the ATCTA, a primary goal was to provide customers with confidence in the form of the ATCTA Trustmark, “Customers want to know that they will get top quality results from their training -- not simply pass an exam. The ATCTA focus on quality helps our industry by making customers feel confident that when they see the ATCTA Trustmark displayed by a training provider they know they are getting an effective training solution.”

The ATCTA have developed a set of operating, delivery and quality controls to ensure not only the highest quality training, but to promote the most effective skills transfer possible. The goal is to promote training from proven companies that deliver real, measurable improvements to the student’s organization and business.
